Koloocheh is the filled cookie of Lahijan, a tea town on Iran's Caspian coast. This is the pistachio version — the one people buy as a gift.
Four cookies to a box, each one soft cardamom-scented dough sealed around a sweet ground-pistachio filling and stamped with the traditional pattern before baking. Milder and more buttery than the walnut, with a faint floral note. If you are introducing someone to Persian sweets for the first time, start here.

Four months, with the expiry date printed on every box. Keep it in a cool, dry place and do not refrigerate — the cold hardens the dough and dulls the flavor. Once opened, reseal the wrap and finish within two to three weeks.

The label reads: contains wheat, egg and pistachio. All of our flavors are baked on a single production line, so walnut, pistachio and coconut share equipment. There is no milk or dairy in any of them.
